Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Biosurveillance

The RODS Laboratory invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in biosurveillance. We are conducting cutting edge research on quantitative evaluation of biosurveillance systems, simulation of disease outbreaks and outbreak detection algorithms. This research makes substantial use of statistics and probabilistic modeling and has at its disposal large datasets for research. Developments from this research will be used in state-of-the-art software developed by the RODS Laboratory.

The RODS Laboratory is a dynamic, cross-disciplinary group that is a leader in biosurveillance research and development of biosurveillance software. It has pioneered numerous methods and techniques that are now standard in the field.

Candidates should have a publication record in their chosen field of study and a foundational knowledge of probability and statistics.

Education requirement: A completed, or soon to be completed, PhD in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, biomedical informatics, computer science, or a related field.

Three letters of recommendation should accompany application.
